I took a longer then expected hiatus on my blog over the holidays; but am so happy to be back. Have a lot of catching up to do catching up on all the wonderful writing that takes place here daily. And now I am back on track to regularly contribute to my blog that I feel I’ve abandoned.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season and are back to their normal routines. It is so funny how they can kind of keep you off track for a week or so.
The Holiday Season for me was filled with such love and laughter. Spending and creating memories with families and friends…..and an unexpected surprise; A New Man! In my previous posts, I said that things will happen when you least expect them. And that is definitely what happened here. So a lot has been happening.
I got to spend almost two weeks with my mother as she stayed with me over the holidays. It was great reconnecting and the time spent was so relaxing and easy. Just like old times before we had a little derailment for a while. But those are all in the past and I was sad when I had to drop her off at her house yesterday. The house seems quite and empty again.
On the job front, I have an interview tomorrow. But only for a part-time job. Just hope it can grow to more. It would be part of my New Year’s Resolution to save up money and get out of debt. Plus at my current job, I now have to travel two days a week to Philadelphia which is like an hour away. Not to happy about it at all, but am trying to do things on the job front to get myself out of that situation.
And since I wanted this blog in the New Year to be less about my romantic life and more about positive things in the world and things that bring about a greater happiness, I will leave this part a little private for now. Will just say I refer to him as “The Bouncer” since he bounces at a bar at night in addition to his day job. So he falls into the category of men I like; big and strong men who is also very sweet on the flip side. The relationship is still new, but I am enjoying him and it and having fun. It was nice to have someone in your life to kiss on New Year’s!
